Club Relay ***Note Date and Location Change***

Type: 3-person relay
Date:Sat November 15
Registration:11:30 am
Start Time:12:30 pm
Where: Haliburton House
Fees: Standard OANS
Contact:Cheryl Smith, fiddlesqueak@hotmail.com
Description:This event has been moved to Haliburton House to allow for a fast, furious and spectator-friendly venue for the CLUB RELAY!!! It is anticipated there will be a number of spectator controls, as the majority of the course is easily viewed from the top of the hill.

Ideally, participants should form three person teams with members of the same club and enter as many teams as possible--there will be a special award for the winning club! If you do not have enough members in your club, however, let us know and we can help you compose a team. If you are not sure which club you belong to, simply choose one of the OANS member clubs: Annapolis Valley Orienteering Club; North Shore Adventure Club; Four Seasons Chase; Halifax Hustlers or Colchester Streakers--depending on where you live.

There will be three legs of varying levels of difficulty (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Each runner completes one leg of the relay.

Fees will be Standard OANS fees, with each individual participant responsible for their own fee.

The deadline for pre-registration is Thursday, November 13, 2014. Please email Cheryl Smith, fiddlesqueak@hotmail.com with the following information:

Name, SI Number and Course (beginner, intermediate, advanced) for each team member
Team Name
Club
***please have one team member submit the information for ALL THREE team members together!

Since I am certain this question will be asked: Yes, it IS possible to enter a team of one or 2 people, however we encourage as many three-person teams as possible. It is preferable to have 3 people to a team, since points will be awarded for each club participant.

The exact format in terms of points for the Club award will be determined and posted prior to race day.
