2017 Pre Eco-Endurance Challenge by Halifax Orienteering Club

Fees: Pre-registration costs are $20 per individual for the 2 hour event and $30 for the 4 hour event. Team costs are $15 per team member for the 2 hour and $25 per team member for the 4 hour event. Junior (U18) costs are $5 less. It is an additional $3 for a Sport Identification (SI) stick unless you have your own. An SI stick electronically confirms that you found the control and will also give you split times between controls.

Description: This is the second annual pre-E2C event hosted by the Halifax Orienteering Club (HOC). It is a great way to tune up for the E2C and you will be competing in a beautiful part of the province! The event will be held in Wentworth and registration will take place at the Hostel. There will be a 2 hour and a 4 hour event. The courses are on a 1:15000 orienteering map (very detailed) and will be in a similar format to the E2C. It will be a score orienteering format with line navigation components. This event can be run as a team or individually. The course planners and event organizers for this event are Ian Clark and Tony Wheeler of the HOC. Pre-registration information to include name/names of team members, team name, sport ident card number if you have one, and which course you will be competing in (2hr or 4hr). Pre-registration is available until midnight 19 April. Late and/or same day registrations will add $10 per adult and $5 per junior.

In the spirit of the E2C all profits from this event will be donated to Halifax Regional Search & Rescue.
