Park Trail

AVOC Sprint Acadia University ( Posted Sun June 27 )

In this event, to give everyone a training idea, we had participants run their course in reverse after a suitable rest, all that is, except Andrea and Riley Sarsfield; they did not get a suitable rest!!
Greg and Ian gave a number of years to those younger gentlemen ahead of them. Ian, reading white on the map up in the South end decided to take a “short cut”. You should have seen his legs, he was in shorts!! He used the trails the second time. Just look at his split. Hope you are OK now Ian. Antar Fuentes also had a tremendous time the second go around. In the Group/ Family Category, Andrea and Riley really turned things around as well.
For the Sr women, I hope we see Angela Ripley and (Sr men) Antar out again as they have a lot to offer with their first time results. Brian MacCulloch, orienteering for the first time this year is becoming a force to be reckoned with, well done. Ashley had the most consistent time.
Well done to all and thanks for attending.
Thanks to Art Harding for his assistance with the start and finish.
