Educators and Youth Group Leaders

Orienteering NS often receives requests for beginner clinics for youth groups and schools to provide orienteering instruction.

At this time, we have a very small volunteer base and are generally not able to accommodate such requests, particularly when they have a short turnaround time or if they are during the customary work day.

We are working on developing a train-the-trainer module to offer to teachers each year at the outset of orienteering season - this is in the beginning stages. We are also hoping to explore ways to increase our capacity to engage new orienteers. Suggestions, and interest from individuals wishing to be involved in this work are welcome!
